FAVORITE TRAVEL MEMORY…

Swimming with whale sharks and manta rays in Isla Mujeres Mexico. No other experience has given me such an adrenaline rush!

My greatest joy…

Helping others plan the most memorable vacations! Meaningful experiences create cherished memories forever.

The coolest place I’ve been…

The Yap Islands have some of the best diving in the world with sharks, huge manta rays in groups, and schools of beautiful fish. Plus their rich history and modern culture blend together for a very eclectic lifestyle. We saw stone currency, hibiscus skirts/thu (traditional attire) and even experienced one of their cultural celebrations.

My best travel story…

Happened in Japan after diving in Micronesia. Traveling around in the cities there can be perplexing, especially when the signs of the metro are in Japanese! Fortunately we happened to encounter a young American who was on a Navy assignment there. He helped direct us and even explored various areas with us!  You never know who you may meet or even share experiences with while traveling

meet Erica!

Erica is a self-proclaimed “Disnerd” and loves planning trips to Walt Disney World! She also brings this magic over to planning Mexican, Caribbean and European vacations.

A fun fact about me…

I have an addiction to learning new things…in other words, I am a training junkie. Whether it’s for my travel business or my job as a job coach for adults with cognitive disabilities, I love to learn new things.

The next place on my bucket list…

Any country where the Northern Lights are visible. I would also love to stay in an over-the-water bungalow in a tropical location.

My most impactful travel experience…

During the summer after my high school graduation I traveled with a group to Quetico Provincial Park in Canada where we hiked and camped for six nights, with only enough food and supplies that we could carry on our backs. The supplies and canoes were portaged to get between the lakes. At night, we tied our food up in trees and slept on the ground. The night sky was so full of stars that you could not begin to count their infinite numbers. Cooking fish we caught made us all grateful for the meals we conveniently enjoyed when at home. The lake water was so fresh and clean we could dip our cups in for a drink without worry. There were times I questioned our survival, but the sense of accomplishment when we finished was like nothing I have experienced since.

My go-to getaway spot…

Walt Disney World (no surprise there!) I enjoy traveling to Walt Disney World at least two to four times a year!

meet Milira!

Milira has visited fourteen different European countries while living and studying in Paris and other areas of France. She later returned to France for an additional year teaching English as a second language. She speaks French fluently, and is well-versed in traveling Europe via planes, trains and automobiles!

My greatest passion…

Introducing people to the world of travel. Traveling has taught me so many things that I simply couldn’t learn in a book and it’s amazing to be able to see the light in someone else’s eyes when they see something for the first time that they never knew existed! I truly believe our world is the biggest classroom and that we should explore it as much as possible.

My best travel advice…

Packing light! For international travel, we often tell folks to pack their bag and then go back in and take out half of what you just packed. So scale it down, and make sure you have extra space for shopping 🙂

The next place on my bucket list…

The continent of Africa! I want to visit Seychelles, on the eastern coast.

My favorite travel quote…

It’s actually a French quote by Hippolyte Taine, “On voyage pour changer, non de lieu, mais d’idées”. The quote says “we travel to change, not just the place but our ideas”. This is a huge component of travel that I think gets forgotten. While there are many places to visit and see, there is so much to learn from simply being surrounded by other cultures, languages and people that are different from us.

meet Corrie!

Corrie grew up in Maryland and currently lives in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She is passionate about helping clients create lasting memories through travel. Corrie entered the industry six years ago planning Disney trips for clients.  Since then, she has immersed herself in training to learn destination details about Mexico and the Caribbean. Corrie has now acquired status as an industry expert in cruising, both Caribbean and European destinations.

My favorite travel quote…

“Collect moments, not things” serves as a mantra during her planning process. Her detailed itineraries and clever travel tips and tricks result in unique, memory-making vacations!

Fun Fact:

When I’m not planning vacations, I can be found at a horse show! My daughter and her Irish Sporthorse, Mystic Whorl, compete in Eventing. The sport combines three different styles of riding;  Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping. I’m an avid fan and also a nervous, but proud, Mom.

The next place on my bucket list…

Puerto Rico! History, culture, food, beaches, and mountains make for the perfect romance and adventure-filled vacation!

One thing I never travel without…

A good book! Whether waiting in an airport, a cruise terminal or even hanging out by a pool, a book is great for inducing relaxation.

My best travel story…

Snorkeling at St. John’s Trunk Bay. Imagine swimming in crystal clear water alongside beautiful fish and sea turtles.  Their beauty and grace were so calming and peaceful.

meet Cassie!

Cassie currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Culinary School intending to utilize her acquired Chef skills to turn out delicacies from the galley of a major cruise line.

With this, she planned to combine two of her favorite things; food and travel. However, in the midst of fulfilling those dreams, she found her soulmate and fell in love. This pivotal life event motivated her to become a travel consultant. She believes that helping others plan their vacations is a great way to share her passion for travel. Cassie specializes in beachy destinations and focuses on her love of everything Caribbean.

Fun fact:

I was a live-in nanny in Texas.  I loved the job and my temporary stay in the Lone Star State during that introspective time.

The next place on my bucket list…

is Seoul, South Korea.  I enjoy Korean food and am drawn to Korean culture.  I am an admitted K-Pop fan (and was long before they were popular).  I hope to see N Seoul Tower and experience an event at Namsan Hanok Village.

My go-to getaway spot…

is Destin, Florida.  From my midwestern location, it’s an easy destination to get to with beautiful beaches.

My favorite travel quote…

“Travel is the only thing you can buy that will make you richer.” This quote hangs in my office!

meet Lori!

Lori is the owner of Travel Design Loft, and loves planning vacations for her own clients as well. Get in touch with Lori to plan a trip, or to be paired with the agent that’s the best fit for you. Happy travels!

A note from Lori…

I believe in a life without limits. My goal in growing my team of travel consultants has always been finding the people willing to say “yes” to every request, accommodation, and out-there request, and that’s how Travel Design Loft was created.

I founded this agency in 2017 because I wanted to combine the large agency travel resources with boutique customer service and dedication. My job is to make your life easier and ensure that your travel planning experience is (almost) as stress-free as your vacation.

When you travel with us, I want you to experience more, worry less, and truly discover something new, whether it’s a place or something more personal. This is your invitation to connect, to indulge, to discover, to relax, to adventure, and to try something new with us.
